The Norwegian Armed Forces, in collaboration with Norwegian, sought to highlight their investment in SAF as part of their commitment to greener aviation. To ensure the message resonated widely, we advised Norwegian to find concrete, relatable examples that would make the story more tangible. One such example was waste oil from Fish & Chips, which is actually a key byproduct used to produce SAF at ST1’s refinery. This approach helped connect the audience to the concept in a direct and engaging way.
TAKT took responsibility for concept development, scriptwriting, and end-to-end production, ensuring a seamless process from ideation to final delivery. To enhance credibility and engagement, we chose to focus on the entire value chain, interviewing the key people involved, from those handling the raw materials to the experts producing the fuel and the decision-makers implementing it. This human-centric storytelling made the initiative more authentic and accessible to a broader audience. We managed all logistics, including securing filming permits for aerial shots at an active airport. Additionally, we produced press and campaign photos during the shoot to ensure cost-effective content production. The final film was delivered in four tailored formats for Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland ++ distribution across social media, presentations, and advertising platforms.
The film garnered over 1 million views and generated extensive media coverage, with articles published in multiple European countries. The message resonated with both industry professionals and the general public, strengthening trust in the initiative.

The Norwegian Armed Forces and Norwegian sought to communicate their commitment to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in a way that was both credible and relatable. TAKT developed the concept and strategy, advising a story-driven approach that focused on the real people and value chain behind SAF production. By highlighting how Fish & Chips waste oil is transformed into jet fuel at ST1’s refinery, we created a compelling narrative that built trust and engagement, resulting in over 1 million views and media coverage across Europe.

This project showcases TAKT’s expertise in strategic storytelling, transforming complex sustainability topics into engaging narratives that drive awareness

The first use of biofuel for the defence sector's business trips with Norwegian was marked at Ålesund Airport Vigra 17.10.24. Norwegian will blend 15 percent biofuel on over 1 million business trips until 2028. The agreement is the largest of its kind in Norwegian history, and most likely the first in a NATO context.
